Join us for a movie classic double feature to kick off the summer!
We’ll be “traveling” to two locations in honor of our Adult Summer
Reading Program theme, “Reading Takes You Everywhere.”
There will be a 15 minute intermission between the showings.
12:00 p.m. - Casablanca
This 1943 Academy Award winner for Best Picture is a tale of wartime intrigue, romance, black-marketeers and heroism in North Africa. With unforgettable performances by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, this drama also won Oscars for Director (Michael Curtiz) and Screenplay.
2:00 p.m. - Roman Holiday
A princess escapes her entourage and traverses incognito through the city of Rome, where she hooks up with an American journalist who serves as her tour guide. This charming romp from 1953 earned Audrey Hepburn the Academy Award for Best Actress. Also featuring Gregory Peck and directed by William Wyler.
First Thursdays are free programs for adults held every first Thursday of the month at the Dublin Library.
