A True Heritage Dance Concert: Nuestra Herencia
“Nuestra Herencia” is a series of Cultural Heritage Dance Presentations that all together form a sensational Dance Concert. This is our first dance concert of the year and it’s dedicated to celebrate and honor Hispanic and Latino Americans’ contributions to our heritage and culture. The City of Edinburg and the community dance group, Conceptos Entidad Dancistica, are hosting this event, Nuestra Herencia, on January 18th for the public at the Edinburg Municipal Auditorium located at 415 W. University Dr, behind the Edinburg City Hall. All admission to this concert is free, donations are accepted.
The Edinburg Community Dance Group is a newly formed extension of the City’s Library & Cultural Arts Department. The dance program was included to continue fulfilling the goal and mission of the promotion and propagation of cultural events in the city. The Library & Cultural Arts Department brings to the community festival favorites such as FridaFest, Los Muertos Bailan, Lighting of the Christmas Tree, The UFO Festival, the EMA Community Theater, and many more established favorites.
Nuestra Herencia concert will be a cultural enrichment for all, the Dance Concert is a 2-hour show at the beautiful Historic Edinburg Municipal Auditorium, 415 W. University Dr. Nuestra Herencia opens the doors at 5:30 pm and starts promptly at 6 pm., the Community Dance Group and the City of Edinburg thank you for your support of the volunteer dance group.
