Getting Wind and Solar Energy from Far Away to Power our Electric System

Wednesday February 26, 2020
7:00 PM until 8:00 PM

Many people would like the US electrical system to be powered by renewable sources of energy such as wind and solar. Unfortunately, the biggest sources of wind and solar energy are far from the areas that need them the most. Join Larry Rosenberg from Elders Climate Action for a presentation and conversation about needed changes to the electrical grid so that it can transport electricity from solar in the Southwest and wind in the Great Plains to the coast.

This event is funded by a grant from the Climate Change Conversations in Libraries program in partnership with the Sustainable Future Fund of the Vermont Community Foundation.
