One Book, Every Young Child is a Pennsylvania initiative that promotes the importance of early literacy development for children ages 12 months to age five. A book is selected annually by a committee of early childhood educators, librarians and museum educators. The selected book encourages children’s imaginations and love of reading. The 2019 One Book selections are Barnyard Banter by Denise Fleming and Not a Box by Antoinette Portis. Join us for a fun family night exploring these books and participating in related hands-on STEM activities. Please bring a shoe box or small box to the program for each child attending. Registration required.
