Every Heartbeat Counts Services (former American Red Cross trainers) will host a Babysitter/First Aid/CPR/AED training course for pre-teens/teens ages 11-16 on Saturday, March 28 from 11am-4pm at the Baldwin Borough Public Library. The course helps participants learn the responsibilities of babysitting, teaches how to keep themselves and others safe, how to manage behavior during babysitting and teaches infant and child first aid and CPR/AED.
Cost of the training is $80/person and includes a take-home training handbook, emergency reference guide, CD and wallet-sized certification card.
There will be one 30-minute lunch break, and participants should bring a lunch. Registration is required and is limited to 20 students. Registration is available beginning February 15, either online or by calling the library at 412-885-2255. Payment is due prior to the training via cash or check payable to Shauntaya Hester.
