Teen Fundamentals of PerformanceMonday July 20, 2020
1:00 PM until 3:00 PM
Although we cannot be together to perform a musical this summer, join us for Teen Fundamentals of Performance (geared for students entering grades 6-12)! Using the digital platform, Zoom, we will explore questions about theater with Theater Director Jaycee Revo:
- What makes a theater performance good?
- What are the basics of staging?
- How do you as an actor convey emotion?
- What are some things we can do to captivate an audience?
We will also explore writing for the stage:
- What is dialogue?
- What is a monologue?
We will cover these concepts in performance, but also learn how to write them! The final event will be a virtual showcase of teens’ theatrical writing! Let’s have fun exploring performance together!
**You do not need to sign up for each individual session within this series. Registering once will register you for the 8-week session (you do not need to attend every session if unable)** A Zoom link will be sent to you prior to each session.
A huge thank you to Baldwin Friends of the Theater Arts for their generous funding of this program.
