Book Cooks - Holiday EditionWednesday December 16, 2020
6:30 PM until 8:00 PM
Families can join us via Zoom video to celebrate the holiday spirit by baking holiday cookies together! We will make 2 simple recipes together and play holiday music while we bake and sing together!
We would also love if you shared your favorite holiday recipe with us, so that we can then share everyone's recipes with the group of registrants!
Simply register, and a Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the program.
Recipe #1: Grinch Cookies
Supplies needed for program: Handheld or stand mixer, large bowl, measuring cups, measuring spoons, wooden spoon, plastic wrap, parchment paper, rolling pin, surface or board to roll out dough, baking sheet, round shaped cookie cutter with a heart shaped insert (or a round cookie cutter and a knife to cut heart shape), rack for cooling cookies
Ingredients needed: 2 sticks unsalted butter, sugar, salt, 1 egg, vanilla extract, green food coloring, all-purpose flour, seedless raspberry preserves, jam or jelly, green sugar sprinkles
Recipe #2: Festive Thumbprints
Supplies needed for program: 1 large and 1 small mixing bowl, shallow bowl for sprinkles, baking sheet, wooden spoon, measuring cups, measuring spoons, rack for cooling cookies, small saucepan
Ingredients needed: 2.5 sticks butter, brown sugar, 1 egg, vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, salt, colored sprinkles, sugar, milk, 8 oz. white candy coating
