Join us at Angel Island’s Fort McDowell, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. Visitors will learn how the Army helped soldiers and their families celebrate the holidays while at the island during World War II. Families will have the opportunity to make 1940s style Christmas decorations to take home, and enjoy refreshments in the East Garrison Chapel and Guard House. Visit with re-enactors portraying World War II soldiers and civilians, write a holiday letter to our brave service men and women, or get your weekend pass typed up while you are here! The event will happen rain or shine.
