The True Story of Thanksgiving Monday November 18, 2019
6:30 PM until 7:45 PM
NOVEMBER IS NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH and we are celebrating with a very special program!
Join us as we welcome Native American storyteller Darlene Kascak. Darlene is an Institute of American Indian Studies educator. She will share the story of Thanksgiving based on the facts known about the indigenous people of New England.
The Institute for American Indian Studies (IAIS) in Washington, CT, preserves and educates--through discovery and creativity--the diverse traditions, vitality, and knowledge of Native American cultures. If you've never visited this wonderful place, you should come to this program to learn more. In addition, the Bethel Public Library is pleased to have a pass for half-price admission to the IAIS, available for checkout with your Library card.
This program is for adults and students Grade 6 & up.
Registration is required.
