We will explore the environment and geography of Ancient Egypt, including important resources such as the Nile River. We will see how Ancient Egyptians lived along the Nile, the animals they lived with, and their unique writing style. We will also discuss why mummification was an important part of Ancient Egyptian culture. Activities include writing in hieroglyphics, examining replica artifacts, and experimenting with a hot dog mummy! This class is being offered by an expert educator from the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. For grades 3-6. Register beginning October 1st.
