Embracing Our Differences: 'There There' by Tommy Orange - Session 1

Join us for this meeting of "Embracing Our Differences," our group that explores and discusses issues of race, diversity, and social justice!

In this meeting, we'll discuss Parts 1 and 2 of Tommy Orange's 2019 novel There There, which focuses on indigenous people in America.There There is a medium-length novel that follows the interconnected experiences of twelve American Indians living in Oakland, CA. It explores themes of Native American history, spirituality, generational trauma, addiction, and storytelling. We will meet to discuss Parts 3 and 4 on Tuesday, June 7.
