All Things Sherlock with Robert Fritsch
Saturday April 7, 2018
1:00 PM until 3:00 PM
Sherlock Holmes has been fascinating audiences for 130 years. What is it about this character that has made him a world famous phenomenon? Join Sherlockian expert Robert Fritsch, who will be our guide to 'All Things Sherlock'.
We will begin with the major players in the saga, Holmes himself, Watson and Conan Doyle. Highlights of the four novels and 56 short stories will be briefly examined, with emphasis on the women in Holmes life. But the story of Sherlock is so much more than the literary works, which have not been out of print since they were first published!
We will take a tour of it all, including the movies, TV shows, actors, magazines and Sherlockian Societies!
This is a fast pace, interactive program and audience participation is encouraged. Fun mini-quizzes will be interspersed throughout the program. (Vote for your favorite Sherlock actor, test your knowledge of Sherlock trivia, have fun!) Attendees are encouraged to ask questions.
Registration is requested.
