The main objective of the program is to educate people on what they can do in their own yards to provide monarch butterflies with the necessary plants for food & reproduction. The program will cover the life cycle of the monarch, its great migration, & the kinds of plants necessary to create a nursery for the caterpillars & nectar for the butterflies. The program will be presented by a member of the Eastham Conservation Foundation & by master gardeners. It is planned that this will be the first of a 2-part monarch series, the 2nd being focused on raising monarchs.
