WCAI’s Mindy Todd discusses Álvarez’s “Spirit Run: A 6,000-Mile Marathon through North America’s Stolen Land." US born to an Indigenous Mexican family, Álvarez joins a group of indigenous young people on a six thousand-mile run from Washington state to Mexico. Stopping at indigenous communities along the way Álvarez explores the meaning of identity, community and belonging.
