Reflections on Resistance

Thursday February 15, 2018
6:30 PM until 9:30 PM

~~Presented by Ryan Arts  and FOR Sto Rox Library as part of our African American Celebration of Art Series

Kevin is a police officer who quit the force because of the racial injustices he experienced. He was told “Pull over any African American male you see driving a nice car.”

Reflections on Resistance is a presentation and conversaion on the Civil Rights Movement and the institutionalized racism African Americans face today. Not much has chanced since the civil rights movement of the 1960’s.

This is a chance to have an open conversation about race relations in our city and country.

 6:30pm doors (presentation at 7pm)
Free but a $5-10 suggested donation
