The White House's East Wing
And The Role of the American First Lady
with Marilyn Carminio
Tuesday March 20, 2018
2:00 PM until 3:00 PM
Many remarkable women have served as first lady of the United States. The Constitution does not outline any responsibilities for this challenging role, sometimes described as the most demanding volunteer job in America. These women are wives, mothers and confidants to the most powerful person in the world, in addition to occupying their own place on the international stage.
Marilyn Carminio's research is based on multiple sources and her multimedia presentation format provides a rich experience for the listener. Marilyn was a NYC teacher and went on to work in magazine publishing including at Cosmopolitan, Elle and New Woman.
Registration suggested by calling 466-8055, ext. 208, or register online beginning January 2.
