Tai Chi is an internal form of martial art that is practiced for health and self defense. Incorporating breathing with slow and fluid movements, the exercise connects the internal focus of the mind with the external control of the body. Practicing Tai Chi ultimately leads to Improved Circulation, Better Balance, Greater Flexibility, Increased Energy and Reduced Tension.
Joseph has been practicing martial arts for more than 15 years. He began his Tai Chi training in 1997 at Red Dragon Kung Fu Center under Sifu Rafael Gomez, and has been studying Tai Chi and Qigong extensively with Sifu Joseph Laracuenta since 2002. “Our goal is to live a long and healthy life. By focusing on ourselves we get to improve the quality of our life. And by expressing that quality outward we get to improve the lives of others.” Joseph has also won numerous awards at the US Open Martial Arts Championship in Queens, NY, has performed Tai Chi at Citi Field, and has appeared as a guest on the Project Independence Radio Show 88.1FM WCWP.
Tai Chi is an internal martial art that is practiced for health and self defense. It incorporates both slow moving exercise and stillness practice. By connecting our breathing with our movements, we strengthen our ability to focus on each moment.

$40 fee for entire series of 8 classes. In-person registration only (check, cash or money order made payable to Great Neck Library) beginning March 26 for Great Neck School District residents and April 2 for non-residents.
April 14, 21, May 5th, 12, 19 and June 2, 9, 16
*There are no classes
April 28 and May 26.
