YOGA NIDRA facilitated by Carolyn CarpentiereWednesday December 12, 2018
7:15 PM until 8:00 PM
YOGA NIDRA is a systematic process of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation to conscious dreamless sleep or the hypnogogic state; the state between waking and sleeping.
During the practice of yoga nidra you enter a state of profound relaxation while remaining aware and receptive. The practice guides us through the layers or sheaths of the body called the Koshas. They include the physical, energetic, emotional, higher intelligence and bliss bodies.
As we bring our attention to each layer of the body, we move deeper into the more subtle layers of our being, leaving us feeling deeply restored and more connected as a whole. It allows you to connect to your innate wisdom and higher levels of consciousness. This connection to the deep layers of consciousness allows you to release negative patterns and habits referred to as Samskaras.
It is through the continual practice of yoga nidra and its connection to deep levels of consciousness that we come to realize the true nature of the Self.
This practice is done lying down. It is suitable to bring a blanket, pillow and a mat to ensure the greatest comfort in your practice.
