Empty Quester presented by Donna KorrenWednesday March 6, 2019
7:00 PM until 8:00 PM
A long held belief about becoming an empty nester is that it is a time of vacancy and sadness. In fact, Empty Nest Syndrome is an actual disorder described as the feeling of loneliness and loss experienced by parents when their children leave home for good.
Without dismissing any of these feelings which speaker Donna Korren personally understands, she has created the Empty Quester, a blog and a website for recently kid-free parents who are embracing this new life stage. This talk will include acknowledging the extent of what you have accomplished as a parent, honoring the process of letting go and following through, assessing one's skills and talents, and creating a new path to an even more exciting and happy life. Seeing this life stage through the lens of the Empty Quester is one key towards empowerment.
A graduate of Cornell University, with a B.S. in Communications. Donna is a passionate writer and speaker.
