Glocester Libraries Walking Club Super WalkWednesday October 7, 2020
8:00 AM until 10:30 AM
It's time for the annual Fall Super Walk where we'll observe the seasonal changes at two of our favorite destinations, Steere Hill and Heritage Park.
For this challenging outing, we will start at Steere Hill, hike to Heritage Park passing by the shepherd’s hut, and then return to Steere along the Woodward, Field, Cutter, and Phillips Trails. This walk is over five miles long and will take between 2 to 2 ½ hours to complete. We will meet at the parking lot for Steere Hill on Rt 44 (almost across from Harmony Post Office).
Trails of this type typically feature sections with rocks, stumps, and tree roots to maneuver. Don't forget your water bottle and your bug spray. Feel free to bring a mask for when we meet, but most of our walking will be single-file on narrow trails where social distancing will be easy to maintain.
Rain Date: Wednesday, October 21st at 8:00 a.m.
Location: Steere Hill Conservation Area
