Fall Nature Adventures - Presented by Hands on Nature

Wednesday September 30, 2020
4:00 PM until 4:45 PM

Hands on Nature is excited to present free, virtual programs on Zoom! This fall, they are leading four programs in their new Fall Nature Adventures series.

In the Big Predators program, we will discover big predators, such as bears, coyotes, wolves and mountain lions! Learn which large wild predators are left in MA and which have been extirpated -- a word which here means, "made locally extinct." Understand food chains and what is meant by "survival of the fittest." We will learn about the decline of big predators over the past century, and about the possibility of their return. Includes a fun predator/prey activity to do at home!

These classes are recommended for ages 8-12 but all families are welcome! Register once to receive the Zoom code for the entire series.

This program is made possible through CARES Act funding to Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
