Sunday Sounds Special Performance Gerry Johnston

Gerry Johnston is an acoustic jazz and classical guitarist with over thirty years of professional experience in the Boston area and throughout New England. Performances have included countless weddings, corporate events, private parties and concerts. His education includes studying jazz guitar at Berklee College of Music and classical guitar at New England Conservatory.
A particular specialty of Gerry's is performing selections from "The American Songbook" on classical guitar. These are the great jazz and popular 'standards' by composers such as Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Richard Rogers, Carole King, Henry Mancini and a host of others. "The Songbook" has been the standard repertoire for generations of jazz musicians. This music is widely known and loved across generational lines.
