Understanding Paycheck DeductionsMonday March 16, 2020
6:30 PM until 7:30 PM
Watching as your teen lands their first job can be exciting. The prospect of a weekly paycheck means they can begin planning for social events, trips, and saving for the future. If your teen is planning to join the workforce soon, it would help for them to understand the history and vocabulary around the taxes and other paycheck deductions they may encounter before they receive their first check.
To help your teen prepare for what comes next, join Gail DeGrenier at a workshop offered by the Kingston Public Library. Gail is the Branch Manager for Rockland Trust’s Kingston branch.
This program will take place on Monday, March 16th at 6:30 pm at the Adams Center located at 33 Summer Street in Kingston.
“Understanding Paycheck Deductions” is part of a series of programs focusing on personal finance and financial literacy for adults and teens that the Kingston Public Library will be presenting alongside partners in the community. This program is brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
