“For the students whom you teach that different isn’t good or bad, it’s simply different. For each child who can now accept someone who is not like them. For all the little kids who are no longer being teased because their puppet friends said it’s okay to be different--it makes the world bigger and more interesting. That’s what The Kids on the Block are all about.”
Viewing a Kids on the Block performance is an unforgettable educational experience. The "kids" vividly and effectively model relationships between people, both with and without disabilities, by using frank and often humorous communication of facts and feeling between the puppet characters and the audience.
This program is free and open to the public. See Ms. Teresa in the Children's Room for more information.
