The library will become a GIANT classroom today! We’ve invited practitioners, hobbyists, experts and volunteers to share their passions and give our community members a chance to learn how to do something new. During the 4 hours that the library is open, we’ll have 20+ How To sessions running in 20-minute increments all day long. Many will run simultaneously, so you’ll want to be strategic. You’ll leave sessions with a basic understanding of a subject and a good taste of how to do something. Find out more HERE.

Our thinking behind the event was spurred by an initiative called Outside the Lines: Libraries Reintroduced as a way to encourage people to think about libraries in a different way, one that defines libraries as active, engaged community organizations and dispels the myth that we are mere book warehouses. We’re excited ourselves to approach our own role in the community in new and unexpected ways so stick around to see what we’re up to!
