Lab Ratz Science Club - Sharpsburg

Wednesday March 14, 2018
4:30 PM until 5:30 PM

Lab Ratz Science Club is a six week program (2/14/18 through 3/21/18) that presents basic science principles in an engaging, hands-on manner which encourages students to be inventive and creative, to question the world around them, and make discoveries through firsthand experimentation. This session will be open to all students in grades 3-5. *Limited to first 15 students* Fun, safe, and educational, Lab Ratz Science Club addresses flagging interest in the sciences among students nationwide. By catering to the natural curiosity of children, Lab Ratz Science Club creates a learning environment where students are led to answers through questioning and hands -on experimentation, rather than with lectures. In addition, the individual creativity of each participant is stimulated to promote problem solving and to apply concepts. Every session explores a different topic and never repeats, so your student will have a different lesson to look forward to every week.  Participants need only bring curiosity and an open mind!

This is a free program sponsored by the Sharpsburg Community Library and made possible by the Women’s Board of Pittsburgh.
