Nan Quintin ~ Artist Reception

Saturday October 12, 2019
11:00 AM until 1:00 PM

An exhibit of fine art by long-time Pepperell artist Nan Quintin will be on display October 12th – November 2nd. Come meet the artist and enjoy some refreshments while browsing this special exhibit that includes a number of Nan’s award-winning paintings.

Nan returns often to her favorite subjects, things once loved and now abandoned – their history, how they speak to us and what they have to say. The items are poetic and expressive as they quietly return to nature in varying degrees of gracefulness. They include rusty items, flaking paint, vehicles, and abandoned buildings. The artist has captured the dignity of decay, and embraced the variety of emotions felt when contemplating departing man-made objects, including sadness, dismay, wonder, denial, hope, reflection, and eventual resignation. Old houses, especially poignant, are frequently depicted.

Nan’s artwork includes the “Historic Pepperell” mural at the library in the stairwell leading to the History Room. Her work includes watercolor, oil, and acrylic media in a variety of subjects.
