Critically acclaimed performer Stephen Collins will be portraying Walt Whitman for poetry month here at the library! The "Father of Free Verse", Walt Whitman was ahead of his time as a poet, essayist, and journalist. His topics were controversial and deeply human, often writing about death, and sexuality. Meet the man behind famous works such as "Leaves of Grass" and "O Captain! My Captain!". Experience the passion and struggles as this inspirational man is brought to life with this amazing performance.
