A member of The Society of Women Engineers, New England Shoreline Section (SWE-NESS) will lead participants in designing and building an air-powered rocket that can hit a distant target. In this challenge, kids follow the engineering design process to: (1) design and build a rocket from a straw; (2) launch their rocket using a balloon; (3) improve their rocket based on test results; and (4) try to consistently hit a target with their rockets. For ages 6 - 11 and registration is required.
We are excited to once again be working with SWE-NESS.These women are pioneers, advocates, and mentors who support the professional journey and are impacting the future of engineering and technology. Look for more workshops with them in the fall!
