WWI Multi-Media Presentation
Join Lincoln resident George Seeley in the library’s Tarbell room for a Keynote presentation of original WW1-era posters and songs and a discussion of how these represented a much different mood and spirit in the America of a century ago than one could ever imagine today.
Though actively involved in the fighting for just two years, America produced more war posters in that time than all the other combatants combined. These colorful large-scaled prints are by many of the best-known lithographers from that era such as James Montgomery Flagg , Howard Chandler Christy and Charles Livingston Bull.
