Learning to Die in Miami, presented by Carlos Eire
Carlos Eire fled to the United States from his homeland of Cuba in 1962, one of 14,000 unaccompanied children sent to Florida to escape Fidel Castro's regime. His book, Waiting for Snow in Havana: Confessions of a Cuban Boy, won the 2003 National Book Award for nonfiction.
