Sketchbook Exchange ProjectMonday March 1, 2021
11:00 AM until 5:00 PM
Join us for this fun, collaborative, no-pressure, get-your-creative-juices-flowing Sketchbook Exchange Project!
The goal is to play and be creative and inspire and be inspired!
Step 1: Pick up a sketchbook at the library.
Step 2: Use your allotted pages to create something…anything! Draw, write, collage, doodle, scribble, scrawl, paint… It doesn’t have to be complete, or perfect, or even “good.” Use one of your allotted pages to respond to that rotation’s prompt and another page to start a new creation that the next sketchbooker can finish in their own way. Do whatever you want with the rest. Experiment with something new on every page if you want to—or don’t. Sign your name or remain anonymous. It’s all completely up to you.
Step 3: Put your sketchbook in the padded envelope provided and return it to the library book drop by that rotation's "due date". (You'll have about 3 weeks with each sketchbook.)
Step 4: Wait about a week.
Step 5: Do the whole thing over again with a new sketchbook!
At the end of the project, you’ll get one of the completed sketchbooks to keep. The length of the Project will depend on how many participants we get.
If you can’t get to the library to physically exchange your sketchbook, we may be able to help if you live in Medfield. If you don’t live in town, you are more than welcome to participate as long as you don’t mind driving here to drop off and pick up your sketchbooks.
Email Bri at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask questions or to sign up.
Let us know you're interested by February 20th so we know how many sketchbooks to get.
