In Honor of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day
Join us for a live theater event, A Life of My Own: Meeting Eleanor Roosevelt. This one-woman play, by author Stephen LaRocque, stars television, stage and film actress Linda Kenyon.
Mrs. Roosevelt became an inspiration to people of good will all around the world. Her life and work has made our country and our world a better place to live. This play illuminates some steps along her journey.
In period costume, Ms. Kenyon embodies Mrs. Roosevelt's voice, warmth and engaging personal touches.
On June 6, 1944, thousands of soldiers from all over the world arrived in Normandy to defeat Nazism and re-establish freedom. The Monmouth County Library will be commemorating this histroic day with a series of events, culminating on June 6, 2019, D-Day's 75th Anniversary.
Admission is free. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Seats are available on a first come, first-served basis. We request that participants do not hold or reserve seats for others. Library staff reserves a number of seats for a limited time for family/friends of performers.
