Art Reception and Technical Talk: Marie MaberSunday June 9, 2019
2:00 PM until 4:00 PM
Meet the artist Marie Maber at this reception, and enjoy a talk by the artist on the techniques used in creating her work. This show is titled Selected Paintings, Pottery and Sculpture 2005-2019; Art throughout the Years from a Child of the Sixties.
Several pieces in this show have been made using mixed media. Although some of the artworks are painted traditionally in either oil or acrylic paints, some of the more recent pieces have been made using Mixed Media. These techniques include spray painting, block printing, stencil printing, relief printing, dimensional paint, polymer clay, and collage. Three-dimensional works in the show were made using traditional ceramic technology. The 3D work will be on display in the library lobby exhibit cases.
