Billy Terrell, Vietnam War veteran and author of "The Other Side of Rock and War", brings us an evening of stories, music and memories. With 56 years in the music industry, Billy has over 2,000 commercially released recordings to his credit. As a member of the Brill Building alumni back in the early days of rock and roll, he worked alongside some of the biggest and best writers and artists of the era. While serving in the army in Vietnam, Billy helped rescue orphans and Catholic nuns after a Viet Cong attack, and helped establish an orphanage which still thrives today. He was recently profiled in an article in the March 2019 issue of VFW Magazine (https://www.vfw.org/media-and-events/vfw-magazine). Throughout his presentation he shares his interesting anecdotes accompanied by slides, video and music to tell his story. Join us for an entertaining and compelling evening.
