Event: Comic Book Group

Thursday October 12, 2017
7:00 PM until 8:30 PM

This month the Bacon Free Library and the Morse Institute Library Comic Book Club will read and discuss Thoreau: A Sublime Life by A. Dan and Maximilien Le Roy. This graphic novel biography relates the forward-looking inspirational life of the great author, philosopher and pioneering ecologist. Henry David Thoreau was also the father of the concept, still fresh today (viz 'Occupy Wall St.'), of 'civil disobedience' which he used against slavery and the encroachment of government.

Comic Book Group meets on the second Thursday of each month. Copies of this month's title will be available at the Bacon Free Library and the Morse Institute Library. Refreshments will be served. For more information contact Dave Bartos at 508-647-6521 or Meena Jain at 508-653-6730.

Location: Community Room, lower level
