Digital Program: Write Job Winning Cover LettersMonday November 2, 2020
4:00 PM until 5:30 PM
A well-crafted cover letter can set an applicant apart from the pack and catch the attention of hiring managers. Learn how to write cover letters that tell a story, present yourself favorably as a candidate, and get you the job!
Session 1: Monday, October 26 from 4pm to 5:30pm. Learn the anatomy of a well-crafted cover letter, read sample letters that impressed hiring managers at various companies, find resources to help you learn more, and discuss common struggles with writing cover letters. Participants will then take what they've learned to write practice cover letters for a specific job listing for the next session.
Session 2: Monday, November 2 from 4pm to 5:30pm. Participants will share their sample cover letters and receive group feedback from others, in addition to a writing tutor. We will only read as many letters as we can get to in an hour and a half.
