Join Katie Shepherd, Registered Dietitian from Food Explorers to make Gingerbread Cupcakes this Holiday season! You’ll learn how to make the cupcakes from scratch and a delicious frosting.
Exploring food encourages children to learn through sensory experiences, hands-on activities and working together to create delicious results.
Food Explorers provides children with the knowledge to make healthy choices for themselves. By combining nutrition education with cooking and hands-on food exploration, you'll have a Food Explorer in no time!
You’ll need the following ingredients for this recipe:
Flour, butter (1.5 sticks), white sugar, brown sugar, molasses, 2 eggs, powdered sugar, milk or cream, cream cheese (2oz.) plus optional spices such as: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and vanilla extract. You will also need an electric stand or electric mixer.
This is an online program. Registration is required to attend this program. You will receive a Zoom invitation the morning of the program. Families with children ages 7 and up.
