Pilates is a series of movements designed to strengthen the powerhouse muscles of the body which include the abs, hips and lower back. Participants should be able to get up and down off the floor easily and also be on the floor in various positions for extended periods of time. An exercise or yoga mat is needed as well as comfy clothing and bring a bottle of water.
