Come out for a tour at Belmont Lake State Park! The park might be known for the beautiful lake and abundance of recreation, but there is so much more to be discovered on trails less traveled. Established in 1926, it was owned by August Belmont and served as farmland for some of Belmont's equestrian activities. Home to a significant wetland complex, waterfowl that can be easily spotted include Northern Shovelers, Mergansers, Teal, Great Blue Heron, and Egrets.
There is an $8 fee per car, unless you are 62 or older (just show your driver's license).
The $4 per person tour fee is courtesy of the Library. Space is limited - please sign up individually with your own North Babylon Library card.
