Did you know that genetically modified food is not new and that it’s been around for centuries? Associate Professor, Mike Cross comes to the Newbury Library to discuss the world of GM food, including how it’s created and how abundant it is in our food supply.

Mike Cross - Associate Professor of Chemistry 
As a part of the Northern Essex Community College Speakers Bureau, Associate Professor Cross is able to share his knowledge with the community. He is department chair of Natural Sciences at NECC where he teaches chemistry and forensic science. He holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, specializing in oxidative lesions in DNA and RNA.
