Writing Mothers (6 week session)

Friday April 13, 2018
10:05 AM until 12:00 PM

Do you long to memorialize the stories of your children or the stories of your own childhood to share with your family?  Because mothers are multi-dimensional, would you also like to explore other aspects of your life through the craft of writing?

In this workshop, you will find a safe and supportive community in which to write. Whether you are a brand new or more experienced writer, the AWA (Amherst Writers and Artist) method gives you an opportunity to write several times during every session. Because this is “new work”, just created and not edited or refined, it will come most directly from the heart. Everything we share is treated as fiction, and we respond to all writing with encouragement, confidentiality and respect.

We will write from evocative prompts, including poetry, prose, music and everyday objects. The emphasis always stays on the art of writing, rather than on any writer’s individual concerns.

Come with a notebook and pen, or a laptop, and get ready to write!

Please register once, for March 3rd, to be registered for the entire series. Class size is limited - save your spot early!
