CANCELLED-Pleasure Reimagined: Rebuilding a Framework for Intimacy*
We learn early in life how to be in relationships by observing dynamics between older family members, and sometimes these models can be unhealthy or harmful. As many of us work on breaking generational curses, it can be hard to imagine our ideal future, including our own relationships with pleasure and intimacy. In this interactive workshop, led by Janielle Bryan, MPH, a public health practitioner and sexuality educator, we’ll reflect on how intimacy has shown up in our past and focus on unlearning what doesn’t serve us. We’ll explore how to establish mutually healthy and affirming connections, as well as pleasure and intimacy practices that honor our needs.
