Wingmasters: North American Birds of Prey hosted by NICE

Wednesday January 16, 2019
1:00 PM until 2:00 PM

Presented by Julie Collier & Jim Parks. Wingmasters is a partnership of two people dedicated to increasing public understanding and appreciation of North American birds of prey. Both are licensed raptor rehabilitators based in MA. Together they care for injured birds of prey. Most of the birds they rehabilitate can ultimately be released back into the wild but in some cases the birds are left permanently handicapped. This program is designed to explain predation, the birds' place at the top of the food web, their different hunting adaptions and their status in a changing world.

This program is free and open to the public.

The Norton Institute for Continuing Education (NICE) is a collaborative effort of Wheaton College and Wingate Assisted Living of Norton. NICE provides non-credit college-level courses which are held at Wheaton College, Wingate Assisted Living of Norton and other locations.

Location: Community Room
