Harnessing the Power of Google Data Studio
Dates: April 4, April 11 & May 2, 2019
Time: 4:00 - 6:30 PM
Session: 19-313701
Audience: District and School Administrators, District Technology and Data Personnel, and Educators who work with large sets of data. Prior skills: Participants should have at least intermediate spreadsheet skills and be comfortable working with data and the Google Suite of tools.
Do you use Excel or Google Sheets to organize and analyze data,
but are looking for something more interactive and visual?
Description: Data Studio is Google’s free data visualization tool which allows you to turn unwieldy spreadsheets into visual dashboards that bring your data to life. Whether it’s assessments, demographics, behavior, or attendance data, if it’s in a spreadsheet, you can visualize it with Google Data Studio! This workshop will provide participants with an understanding for the potential for using Google Data Studio with education data and an opportunity to engage with Data Studio tools and features. Participants will learn basic Data Studio skills using a sample data set, and then will have time to work on an individual project of their own choosing.
BYOD: Each participant should bring a laptop or Chromebook that will work on a wireless network (at NRCC), and have access to a Google account.
