EventKeeper : Tell a Friend
Service Dog Training 101

Saturday October 16, 2021
7:00 PM until 8:00 PM

Otis Library will host the free program “Service Dog Training 101” over Zoom, for teens and adults.  Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.  Guest speaker Ally Altman, an experienced Service Dog Trainer, will discuss how to become a trainer and, along with her Golden Retriever Sasha, will demonstrate the abilities and skills needed for a service dog.  She will also discuss the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) rules around service dogs. If time allows, this will be followed by Q&A. To register, e-mail Julie at Adultprograms@otislibrarynorwich.org, or register on this page. You will receive the Zoom link prior to the program.
