Join us for a lecture by Ed Hynes, CFA about the 1777 Danbury Raid and the Battle of Ridgefield. 

Edward Hynes, CFA is a native of Wilton, CT.  He and his wife have traveled extensively to various battlefields around the country and overseas.  Ed has developed a standalone lecture and an in-depth tour of the Revolution’s Danbury Raid.  In addition to his interest in history, Ed works as a Merrill Lynch Financial Advisor in Westport, Connecticut.

Learn what happened in our village before the British departed on the morning of the 28th of April. Tour ends at the Keeler Tavern Cannonball. The Walking Tour also takes place on Sunday, April 28.

A self-guided walking tour through Olde Town Cemetery. Learn how Ridgefield families participated on BOTH sides of the Revolutionary War.For parking and tour information: Enter Mapleshade Cemetery at the corner of North St. and Mapleshade Rd. This program is presented by the Ridgefield Graveyard Committee.
