EventKeeper : Tell a Friend
View the Night Sky

Monday December 30, 2019
6:00 PM until 7:45 PM

Attend this family friendly event to learn how to use the new library 4.5 inch Orion StarBlast telescope! Local amateur astronomer Roger Menard will guide us in using the telescope to view the December night sky. Learn how to use a technique called star hopping to observe objects from your own backyard. Our telescope will be available for checkout in the new year.

Additional activities and refreshments will be held inside the library.

Roger Menard is an amateur astronomer and member of Astronomical Society of New England (ASSNE). He has his own small observatory and spends most clear nights observing and photographing the skies. He teaches astronomy for Second Half Life Long Learning.
