Come experience the newly renovated and historic Argyle Theatre in the Village of Babylon. Don’t miss a discounted ticket and a short ride to see a Mel Brooks comedy right in our backyard! “The Producers” is a musical adapted by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan from Brooks's 1967 film of the same name. As in the film, the story concerns two theatrical producers who scheme to get rich by overselling interests in a Broadway flop. Complications arise when the show unexpectedly turns out to be successful. The humor of the show draws on ridiculous accents, caricatures of homosexuals and Nazis, and many show business in-jokes. First we will have lunch at Noon at the Post Office Café, a short one block walk to the theater. The show will begin at 2 p.m. so we will meet at the Argyle Theatre at 1:30 p.m. to find our seats. Each person on line may register for one additional person. First come, first served. Space is limited. Bus seat assignment to be made the day of registration. Registration begins Tuesday, February 26th at the Circulation Desk.
