Lloyd Vogel is an investigative journalist assigned to profile Fred Rogers, aka Mr. Rogers.He approaches the assignment with skepticism as he believes that it is hard to imagine that anyone has that good a nature.But Roger's empathy, kindness and decency soon chips away at Vogel's jaded outlook on life. Vogel is forced to reconcile with his own past.

This movie is based on the real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod.
